Marrisa is the daughter of Greg & Kimberly Moore of Mineral Wells, Texas. She was born 5 weeks early. It was discovered right away that she had heart problems. She was sent to Cooks Children's hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. At birth Marrisa weighed 4 pounds 3.8 ounces and was 18" long. She went through several diagnoses before the true problem was found. She was set to have open heart surgery Fri. the 27th. of March but it was postponed because she was just too weak to handle the surgery. So they went in and took a piece of lung tissue to see if and when she might be strong enough to have the surgery. The results came back tragic. During the first trimester of pregnancy lymph glands had grown inside the lungs. As she matured they formed webs inside her lungs. These were very bad and it was irreversible. There was just nothing left that could be done. So on Fri. night March 28th. at 7:15 pm.  She was disconnected from all machinery and handed to her Mother Kim to hold and love her for as long as she could. They had predicted she would live 2 to 15 minutes. However being the fighter Marrisa was she lived for an hour. So the family got to hold and love her for awhile. She was truly and Angel from God! Such a beautiful baby. As she drew her last breaths she smiled. No doubt she saw Jesus or the Angels that came to carry her to her heavenly home at 8:15 pm.
Marrisa Diane Moore

Our beautiful little Marrisa,
You were a mix of your Father and Mother;
With just a bit mixed in,
Of your Sisters and your Brother.

We only had you for 12 short days,
Just not enough time at all;
We knew you were leaving us,
But didn’t expect the smile on your face when Angels came to call.

We all gather together,
As you look down on us from heavenly skies;
Each caught in the love we feel for you,
We know you look down and hear our mournful cries.

God made you a beautiful Angel, wings of silver,
He put you in a satin dress of purest white;
Looking down on us with your sweet smile,
Comforting us with your Angelic might.

Marrisa you were our little Angel,
Taken from us way to fast;
We’re wishing we could go back,
And relieve the very recent past.

Nestled safely in your Mother’s belly,
With no idea anything was wrong;
We’d feel your kicks and wanted you to hurry,
Nine months seemed to be taking so long.

We know that going back,
Is something we’re never able to do;
We just have to take comfort in knowing,
You touched each of our lives as you passed through.

When we turn our eyes up to the night sky,
We’ll search out the brightest shining star up there;
We’ll smile knowing your looking down,
Watching each of us from everywhere.

One day you’ll meet us at Heaven’s Golden Gates,
You and Jesus hand in hand waiting for us to come back to you;
You’ll say see we looked down from here,
And we guided and protected you too.

We want you to rest in peace our little one,
For now your free to roam and play;
Although your not here in our sights,
Rest assured your in our thoughts and hearts Everyday!

Written in memory of our sweet little Marrisa Diane Moore.
Our Angel taken from us much to quick.

An Angel Brought You Down

An angel brought you down,
Right into our embrace;
A smile and not a frown,
Found here on each face.

Marrisa is your name,
You sweet little one;
Your picture we will frame,
Share with everyone.

A darling little girl,
Expected quite soon;
Sweetest life like a pearl,
Shines beneath the moon.

A gift of love received,
For your mom and dad;
Our happiness believed,
Of which we are glad.

Sharing your happiness,
Something we will do;
Waiting for God to bless,
Us with a gift, you.
